I first created this list a year ago, in response to an ask from a new follower. When I listed some recommendations in a post, more came flooding in from various friends and followers. This is not, nor is it meant to be, a definitive list of all of the BDSM blogs run by mature women. It may not even be the definitive list of the ones I follow (sometimes, I am not clear on their ages). It is, however, the list of the ones I like. People who follow my blog will know that I don’t like anything too hard core, I have a quirky sense of humour, a strong sense of justice and I try hard to be inclusive and welcoming.
In creating this list, I am not knocking our many young friends and younger members of the community. I hope they know I adore and respect them. But as one of the older members (age wise, if not time on Tumblr), there are some things to which I relate and react in a different way now to how I did when I was in my twenties. This is neither a good nor a bad thing, it simply is a fact of time. Sometimes the comment made by a much younger person makes me stop and think and change my thinking and sometimes I seek empathy from someone who, like me, is noticing a few more grey hairs on occasion - caused by a myriad of reasons!

daintydepravity – Alice is one of my best friends on here we don’t agree on everything, but I love her. She’s taking a bit of a break at the moment and will be missed.
daisies-in-thedark – Last year I wrote this about her original blog: “Chrissymiller89: Chrissy writes incredibly, beautifully well. She has decided to leave Tumblr, but has left her blog up.” Six months after leaving her blog, she came back to Tumblr and started a new blog.
daysofdecadence – This one was new to me a year ago, but is now one of my favourites
Eyes-forever-blue – Love, sensuality, wisdom, yearning and a little mischief with her great good friend submissiveinclination. Her partner is bayousavantfou and together they have created a joint blog called Les-dances-sensuelles
fetishrekindled – This is one of the ones I managed to forget when I first compiled my list, making me comment that I’m in the getting-more-than-slightly-older crowd!
hiskittenforlife – I was already following kitten, but she reminded me she is in the mature crowd, happy to include her on this list
his-magnolia – How can I not recommend a fellow Canadian? Seriously she has a lovely blog, but a little more hard core images than most on this list
hiswifeslut – Someone I forgot off my original list a year ago, an unforgiveable omission as she has been a good friend to me.
kimmisniceandnaughty.. – Another new one for me last year, but now a regular re-blog on my dashboard
lady–divine – Divine is a Domme, but she has a thousand other interests and they all show up on her blog and she is a great writer. Spend 5 minutes on her blog and tell me you don’t want to re-blog half of it!
memoryanddesire-stirring – There were so many new recommendations last year and this was one of them - a year later, still loving her!
missblissfreshstart – How I missed following her blog sooner, I will never know

notnumbersix – NNS (or Sixy as I like to call her) has the wickedest sense of humour, is an amazing writer and is a fellow arachnaphobe. She is the inventor of spank week - a not to be missed Tumblr event for the BDSM community
poppies-in-july – Poppy is shy, but she is very sweet and you know what they say about the quiet ones… Check out her erotic story writing
quietobservation – For someone who is quiet and merely observing *giggles* she has a lot to say … All of it good
scarletsrealmagic – Scarlet started her tumblr blog in response (at least in part) to a challenge from DwP to come off anon if she wanted real interaction. Bless that man we have him to thank for her and for NotNumberSix
soft-kitti3 – My fellow kitten! She is adorable, she is witty, she is raunchy - what else do we need?
SpiceNWolf – This is a D/s couple - Wolf is the Dom and Spice is his sub. Their relationship is beautiful - and this comes shining though in everything they write. Spice is also the founder of the Submissive Coffee Club which I think all of us in the BDSM community should follow SCCwriting
subgirlygirl – She can be hard core, but in the end, she is very insightful and she writes from the heart and her heart is in the right place. Also - she knows what the hell she is talking about.
submissivedreamer – Witty, sensual, submissive but absolutely not a doormat. She is the submissive half of TooDomForYou and for that alone she would deserve a place of honour on my list. The fact that her own blog is also fantastic is the hotfudge sauce, whipped cream and cherry on the sundae!
submissivefeminist – Read her. She gives great advice, she is knowledgeable and she proves beyond all doubt that you can be a feminist and a submissive
